No! While being a non-profit with a 501c3 status certainly won't hurt your chances of obtaining a grant, it's not absolutely necessary. In fact, I've obtained over $1.2 Million in grant funding as a for-profit organization.

This is a tricky question. For the most part, the answer is yes. However, depending on what the funds are used for, it may count as taxable income. "What if I get audited?"
When working with grants, especially a federal grant, it's entirely possible you'll get audited. While this is a scary thought, the course helps you know how to prepare for an audit.
